M44 (NGC2632) is sometimes
called the Beehive Cluster or the Praesepe. The cluster lies in the
constellation of Cancer the Crab. In addition to the striking
foreground grouping of stars, the Milky Way thins in this portion of the sky
allowing views of galaxies beyond. Clicking on the 100% view and
scanning around the full resolution image will reward the viewer with many
dim examples.
