If you looked in the sky shortly after sunset on this evening, you were greeted with this beautiful close pairing of the Moon and the planet Venus in the western sky. With a slight bit of magnification, in this case a telephoto lens, you can also see that the pair exhibited similiar crescent phases as they faced the sunset.
