This composite image shows three bright members of the Lyrid Meteor Shower on the morning of April 22, 2008. In real time these meteors were many hours apart. In all, six Lyrids were captured on this morning. Three fainter members of the shower are not shown here. The glare of the nearly full moon, at the lower right, dominates the scene and made observing/photographing this meteor shower a challenge.
In this image north is at the top and east is towards the left.
